boo!! and you'll be flying over to US!! sigh sigh, harder for us to meet. think we have to rely on web cam to see each other manz. and FANG where you disappear to! haven spoken to you for such a long time too! ><
Alrights, i'm bored from studying and i haven blogged for quite some time so here i am!
i wanna say i miss my friends!!
ok anyway, i'm miles away from singapore, and there's this accident involving air france where the aeroplane just disappeared!!! and there rapidly increasing cases of swine flu.
life's so unpredictable manz.
who would have thought that the airplane would disappear in mid air without a trace. yes we boast of how advance our technology is and no doubt i agree that we have made a huge progress and i'm amazed at how humans are able to discover and invent so many things. dont need to take things far, but just 5 years ago, we wouldn't have Wifi, wii, cars fueled by hydrogen, touch screen phones and so on. still even as we create, many things are beyond our control and we will never know what might happen.
the fact that we're so comfortable, flying around in airplanes, travelling around in ships, cars, we take it for granted that the person will make it to their destination without a thought. and when something goes wrong, only will we realise that we're so vulnerable. We put our lives in the hands of the pilot, the bus driver, the taxi driver. we often dismiss the importance of these ppl who are responsible for our safety. we respect pilots, sure, its difficult to be one. but hey, where's the appreciation for bus drivers and taxi drivers. most of us take public transport and we take it everyday even, its the most basic way of getting to somewhere. yet we disregard that their role is important and not give them the respect that they deserve. I read the newspapers that ppl shun the thought of being a bus driver. true hours are irregular, maybe late into the night. but isnt this why we're able to stay out late into the night and yet still be safe back home and not spend a a bomb on transport.
yes i start to appreciate the little things what we have in singapore. ppl here treat the bus driver with respect and would greet and even thank them when they are alighting. how often would we do that in singapore. the answer is NOT AT ALL. ppl would probably think you're crazy. and yes i dont do that too, but i guess its time for a little more recognition for their hard work.
